County Employees Recognized for Service, Longevity

Four employees were recognized for 40 years of service each at Carroll County's Employee Appreciation Day.

One hundred and forty nine Carroll County employees have, between them, worked more than 2,000 for the residents of Carroll County, according to county officials. 

Wednesday was Carroll County’s 38th annual Employee Appreciation Day, a day to show thanks for these employees – some who have spent decades working for the county.

County employees, as well as staff at the State’s Attorney’s Office, the detention center, the courts and the Sherriff’s office, were given a free lunch and honored at an employee recognition ceremony.

In the spotlight at the ceremony were Richard Krebs, Kendall Stoner, Gene Warrenfeltz and Max Kuznik. Each have worked for the county for 40 years, according to a statement released by the county; Kuznik in roads operations and the others in engineering.

“I am honored that these men work with me in the Department of Public Works,” Thomas Rio, Director of Public Works said in a statement.
