County to Make Video of PlanMaryland Forum Available Following Event

Citizens will likely be able to watch the PlanMaryland forum on video within 72 hours of the event.

Some citizens interested in the hosted by Carroll County's commissioners were unable to purchase a $25 ticket to the event due to the limited number of tickets available. The forum, scheduled for noon Oct. 31 at the Pikesville Hilton, will be available for viewing within 72 hours after the event on the county's website and later on Comcast channel 24.

Carroll County government's Media Production Specialist, Chris Swam, said that the taping of the commissioner's PlanMaryland forum will be the same as any other meeting taped "off site" (outside of the county office building).

Video of the forum will be available on-line in under 72 hours, barring technical difficulties, on ccgovernment.carr.org on the meeting portal. It will remain posted there in its entirety.

Swam said the county is also planning to make the video available in "chapters" on Comcast Channel 24. Hour-long segments of the event will air at 7 p.m. throughout the week. The plan is to start running the segments a week after the event. This is dependent on timing of the event and the amount of editing that will need to be done to prepare for Comcast.

DVD’s will be available after it has aired for a month and will cost the usual $10 as stated in county policy.
