Rec and Parks Advisory Board Needs New Members

County government is in search of a few good advisory board members.

The Carroll County Recreation & Parks Advisory Board is in need of new members.

The Board meets seven times per year on the fourth Wednesday of each month with most meetings held at 7:30 p.m. in the County Office Building in Westminster according to a news release.

Board members are appointed by the county commissioners, serve a term of 4 years and may serve a second term if reappointed. The Advisory Board serves as a sounding board for Recreation & Parks staff, assists with the
development of policies, reviews and prioritizes self help and capital projects and plays an active role in promoting recreation and parks efforts in Carroll County.
