Voter Guide: Important Dates and Information

Important dates and information to help Carroll County citizens prepare for the polls.

The 2012 Presidential Election will take place on Nov. 6, are you ready to have your voice heard? 

Delegate Susan Krebs encourages residents to make sure they are registered to vote and understand the ballot. Here is information she provided in a newsletter to constituents to help prepare Carroll County residents.

  • The last day to register to vote or change your party affiliation is Oct. 16 at 9 p.m. You can register to vote online by going to the State Board of Elections website by clicking on this link.
  • Early voting will take place at the Westminster Senior Activities Center, 125 Stoner Ave in Westminster. It will begin on Saturday, Oct. 27 and end on Thursday, Nov. 1. The polls will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. except on Sunday, when the hours will be from noon until 6 p.m.  
  • The last day to request an absentee ballot is Tuesday, Oct. 30. Information on how to attain an absentee ballot can be found by clicking here on this link.
  • The Presidential Election will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 6, from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. A copy of the ballot can be attained by by clicking on this link. The Board of Elections also provides a summary of the ballot questions, which can be read by clicking on this link.
