Carroll County Board of Education Approves School Schedule
The revised 2011-12 schedule accounts for an earlier primary election day.
The Carroll County Board of Education approved revisions to the 2011-2012 school calendar at their last meeting.
The change was required due to legislation that moved the 2012 Primary Election Day from the second Tuesday in February to the first Tuesday in April.
The Primary Election Day changed from February 14 to April 3.

The revised calendar makes this change and also adjusts the Spring Break and Easter holiday.
The school schedule for the Carroll County Public School System is as follows:

- Tuesday, February 14, will be a regular school day.
- The Spring Holiday will be adjusted to April 2-9, 2012.
- Schools will be closed for students on April 10, 2012. Teachers work on end of marking period items and a professional development day.
- Students will return from the Spring Holiday on April 11, 2012.
- Four emergency closing days will be built into the calendar instead of five.
- The last day of school will remain the same.
