6th annual A.W.A.K.E. program

Carroll Hospital Center’s Sleep Disorders Center
to host 16th annual A.W.A.K.E. Program

Carroll Hospital Center’s Sleep Disorders Center is hosting its 16th anniversary celebration of the A.W.A.K.E. program on Wednesday, September 5 from 7 to 9 p.m. at The Learning Center Classroom located on the hospital’s campus.

The annual event is designed to raise awareness about sleep apnea and to teach community residents about the relationship between sleep and health, and how to improve both.

The event will feature a variety of manufacturers showcasing the latest equipment available to treat sleep apnea, as well as special presentations including “Eating Healthy, Cooking Fresh” with registered dietitian Alison Manger-Weikel and a sleep disorders question and answer session moderated by Natvarlal Rajpara, M.D., sleep disorders specialist and medical director of the hospital’s Sleep Disorders Center. To attend a presentation, registration is required.

The event is free with door prizes awarded during the evening. Light refreshments will be served. For more information or to register for a presentation, please call Health Access at 410-871-7000.
