Host Families in Carroll County Sought for Exchange Students

Families are needed for the 2013-14 school term.

A local representative for an organization that places exchange students with host families said she is looking for volunteers in the Carroll County area to share their home with a teenager from another part of the world.

Elizabeth Milby, from Eldersburg, is a local representative for ASSE International Student Exchange Programs, a U.S.-based exchange student organization. “Students live with a volunteer host for 10 months while attending our local high schools,” Milby wrote on Patch. “Hosts provide a bed, a bedroom, (sharing a rooom with another teen [is] ok), meals, a little transportation to school and social events, love and guidance.”
