McDaniel College Ranks Again

U.S. News & World Report ranked McDaniel in its list of liberal arts colleges.

McDaniel College is recognized again in the 2012 U.S. News & World Report ranking of national liberal arts colleges.

For the second consecutive year, McDaniel has been included among colleges and universities in the liberal-arts category in the “High School Counselor Rankings.”

U.S. News surveys high school counselors for their opinions about which national liberal arts college offer the best undergraduate education for their students, according to a McDaniel statement.

McDaniel has also been noticed in “A-Plus Schools for B Students” as evaluated by the freshmen retention rate, which U.S. News considers an important indicator of student satisfaction. McDaniel’s small class sizes, admission selectivity, and graduation rates are all key measures in determining the U.S. News rankings each year, a McDaniel statement reports.

In addition to U.S. News & World Report, McDaniel was the highest-ranked private Maryland liberal arts college in Washington Monthly’s annual college rankings released August 29. McDaniel was ranked sixth in the nation in its category of public service.
