It may not be spooky but McDaniel's "Haunted BINGO for Pets" is sure to provide a good time for a good cause on Halloween night.

Jim Mayola, McDaniel College Associate Director of Student Employment & Employer Relations, is one of the event coordinators.

“We figured that the Halloween BINGO would be a fun way to raise funds and awareness,” Mayola said.

According to Mayola, there will be several speakers at the event, including Nicki Radcliffe, director of the Carroll County Humane Society.

Radcliffe told Patch that the most important part of the event is, “People getting together to have a little fun--that is priceless.”

“It is nice that the students are thinking about animals and the Humane Society,” Radcliffe said.

McDaniel College President Roger Casey and Special Liaison for Community Relations Robyn Allers will be there to call a couple of the BINGO games, Mayola said.

Mayola said one important aspect of the event is the opportunity for students to get involved in the Westminster community and with an organization like the Humane Society.

The BINGO event is only open to McDaniel students. To learn more about the Humane Society, visit www.carr.org/humane
