A series of free parenting workshops entitled Positive Solutions for Families will be held on October 9, 16, 23, and 30, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at Carroll Springs School in Westminster. A light dinner will be provided.
The workshops offer a positive approach to behavior intervention and parenting in general. The theory and techniques are based on fostering your child’s social emotional development. During the four weeks, participants will talk about ideas for helping children feel safe, loved, special, competent and confident; build relationships and develop friendships; learn how to follow directions and manage their emotions; let them know what their behavior is trying to communicate; and learn new skills to replace challenging behavior. There will be “make and takes” and great door prizes.
This workshop is for adults only and childcare is not available. Space is limited, so register soon by contacting Cindy Senseney at 410-751-3955 or email@example.com
Board President Jennifer Seidel and Superintendent Stephen Guthrie will be hosting a town meeting on Tuesday, October 16, at 7 p.m. at West Middle School, located at 60 Monroe Street in Westminster.

The meeting is intended to be an open forum; however, depending on the number of participants the time for each speaker may be limited.
