School System to Accept Applications for Prekindergarten Program

The Prekindergarten Program is designed to help prepare children for Kindergarten.

Carroll County Public Schools (CCPS) offers a Prekindergarten Program for children who are 4 on or before September 1, 2012.

This intervention program is available to children who are residents of Carroll County, who meet the age requirement, and are children of families that qualify for free and reduced meals.

The Prekindergarten Program is designed to help prepare children for Kindergarten.  Students attend class five days a week for two and one-half hours per day, at no cost to parents. All classes will be held in the morning.  Prekindergarten will be offered in the following schools:

Stop in the elementary school closest to your home for a PreK Interest Flyer.  Interest flyers are also available online at www.carrollk12.org. Applications for PreKindergarten will be available at schools and online after July 1, 2012, or you may also contact the Department of Curriculum and Instructional Resources at 410-751-3101 for more information.
