Sunday Brunch on the Hill: Comics, Food and McDaniel College

"Kings of the Pages: Comic Strips & Culture 1895-1950" exhibition will be on display at McDaniel College through Nov. 19.

McDaniel College is opening the doors of Englar Dining Hall to the public on select Sundays for "Sunday Brunch on the Hill" in conjunction with the "Kings of the Pages: Comic Strips & Culture 1895-1950" exhibition on view in Rice Gallery.

The brunch buffet features live music and free Sunday comics from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sundays, Oct. 23, Nov. 13 and Dec. 11. Cost is $10 per person including a brunch buffet with complimentary mimosas and Bloody Marys.

"Kings of the Pages: Comic Strips & Culture 1895-1950" explores the serious side of newspaper comic strips featuring such classics as "Krazy Kat," "Blondie," "Pogo," and "Peanuts." "Kings of the Pages" opened Oct. 19 and runs through Saturday, Nov. 19.

Gallery hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m., Wednesday, 9 a.m. - 8 p.m., and Saturday, 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. It is free and open to the public. Visit http://www.mcdaniel.edu/comicsart for more information about the exhibition.
