(Updated) Time to Run: Westminster Residents Finish the Marine Corps Marathon

If these finishers inspire you, there are some upcoming races (don't freak out, not marathons) in the area.

More than 30,000 runners ran the 38th annual Marine Corps Marathon in Arlington, Va. this weekend. The Westminster area was well represented with runners.

Ethiopian Girma Bedada was the first male to finish with a time of 2 hours 21 minutes 32 seconds. Colorado resident Kelly Calway finished first among the women (2:42:16).

Calway, a captain in the U.S. Army, stationed at Fort Carson, Colo., will deploy to Kuwait next week, according to the Washington Post.
