4-H & FFA Fair: Events Schedule July 29 - July 30

Lawn mower racing, live music, pig racing and chainsaw carving are highlights of the Carroll County 4-H & FFA Fair at the Ag Center Sunday and Monday.

The Carroll County 4-H & FFA Fair kicked off July 28 with an alpaca show, the children's pedal pull, cow pie bingo and the combine demolition derby. More fun is scheduled for the rest of the week. 

The Fair will run through Saturday, Aug. 4. 

Events Schedule Sunday, July 29

  • 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. - Indoor Exhibit Building Open to the Public
  • 9 a.m. - Dog Show
  • 10 a.m. - Automotive Contest
  • 12 p.m. - Gene & Jered Harrison Memorial Coon Mule Jump & Fun Show
  • 1 p.m. - Children's Pedal Pull (registration at noon)
  • 1 p.m. - ARMA Lawn Mower Racing
  • 1:30 p.m. - Southern Barnyard Pig Racing
  • 3 p.m. - Billy Harrison and the Haywire Band
  • 3 p.m. - Clover Small Pet Show
  • 4 p.m. - Master of Chainsaw Carving
  • 4 p.m. - Small Animal Dress Up
  • 5 p.m. - Southern Barnyard Pig Racing
  • 6 p.m. - Parade
  • 6:45 p.m. - Master of Chainsaw Carving
  • 7 p.m. - Old Line Statesman Barbershop Chorus
  • 7 p.m. - Ms. Carroll County Farm Bureau Contest
  • 8 p.m. - Dairy Cattle Fit Out Contest
  • 8 p.m. - Billy Harrison and the Haywire Band
  • 8:30 p.m. - Master of Chainsaw Carver

 

Event Schedule Monday, July 30

  • 8 a.m - English Horse Show
  • 8:30 a.m. - Dairy Cattle Fitting and Showing follwed by Dairy Breed Shows
  • 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. - Indoor Exhibits Building Opens to the Public
  • 3 p.m. - Beef Fit Out Contest
  • 4:30 p.m. - Southern Barnyard Pig Racing
  • 5 p.m. - Mini Fashion Review
  • 5:30 p.m. - Master of Chainsaw Carver
  • 6 p.m - Be a Farmer Contest (registration at 5:15 p.m)
  • 6 p.m. - Sheep Showmanship Show, Shepherd Classes and Club Groups to Follow
  • 6:30 p.m. - Southern Barynard Pig Racing
  • 7:30 p.m. - Bob Plunkert & Real Country
  • 7:30 p.m. - Car Demolition Derby (paid event)
  • 8 p.m. - Master of Chainsaw Carver
