Carroll County Fair and Carnival Schedule

Below is list of local fairs and carnivals coming to Carroll County this spring and summer.

Carroll County has already played host to a number of different carnivals this year including the Gamber Community Fire Company Carnival , the St. John’s Catholic Church Carnival and the Union Bridge Fire Company Carnival.

If you missed these, there are still plenty of others in progress or coming soon where you can enjoy the food, music, rides, games and all the other carnival fun that truly helps summer come alive.

New Windsor Fire Company Carnival – (June 3 – June 8) This carnival is underway, opening nightly at 5:30 p.m. the rides begin at 6 p.m.  Ride night specials will be offered every night except Friday, June 7 and Saturday, June 8.  There will be a silent auction held Saturday, June 8 for $7,000 in total give-away cash prizes.  To find out more information and for the nightly entertainment schedule click here.

Mount Airy Lions Club Carnival – (June 3 – June 8) Another carnival that is going on this week, the Mount Airy Lions Club Carnival is located at the Mount Airy Fire Company carnival grounds (Rt. 27 and Twin Arch Road).  This carnival is the largest annual fund raising event run by the Lions Club; rides and amusements are provided by Rosedale Amusements. Taneytown Volunteer Fire Company Carnival – (June 10 – 15) The Taneytown Volunteer Fire Company will host their annual carnival on the nearby Memorial Park grounds.  Dinners hosted by the Fire Company will start every day at 4 p.m. and the carnival grounds will open at 5 p.m.  Rides will open at 7 p.m. and nightly entertainment will start at 7:30 p.m.  For more information or for a list of nightly entertainment and dinner platters available click here.

Sykesville-Freedom Fire Company Carnival – (June 17 – 22) The Sykesville-Freedom Fire Company will host their annual carnival starting the third week of June.  Auxiliary food will be provided in the social hall beginning at 5:30 p.m. The carnival grounds will open at 6 p.m. and nightly rides begin at 7 p.m.  Ride all night wristbands will be available Friday, June 21 and Saturday, June 22 for $23.  For more information or to see a list of nightly entertainers click here.

Manchester Fire Company Carnival – (July 1 – 6) The Manchester Fire Company Carnival will be open July 1 – 6, opening nightly from 6 – 11 p.m.  There will be a Fire Queens Contest July 1, a Parade July 2 at 7 p.m. and fireworks on July 4 (rain date July 5).  All proceeds benefit the Manchester Volunteer Fire Department.  For more information and for a list of nightly entertainment click here.

Harney Volunteer Fire Company Carnival – (July 1 – 6) The Harney Volunteer Fire Company will hold their annual carnival at 5130 Harney Rd in Taneytown. Dining Hall doors in the fire house are open for dinner at 4:30 p.m., food stands open up at 6 p.m.  Rides open up at 6 p.m. nightly, entertainment runs from 7 – 10:30 p.m. Click here for a more information and a nightly entertainment line-up.

Winfield Community Vol Fire Company Carnival – (July 8 – 13) The Winfield Community Volunteer Company Carnival will run from July 8 – 13 on the Winfield Volunteer Fire Department fairgrounds.  There will be special ride all night for one price deals on Monday – Wednesday. Fireworks, sponsored by BB&T Bank will be displayed Friday, July 13.  Click here for more information and a line-up of nightly entertainment.

Reese Fire Company Carnival – (July 15 – 20) The Reese Fire Company Carnival will run July 15 – 20 opening nightly at 6 p.m. and opening at 4 p.m. on Saturday.  There will be more than 24 rides, free parking and nightly entertainment.  Monday-Wednesday there will be a $20 ride-all-night special, Thursday-Saturday ride-all-night will be $22.  Saturday, July 21 there will be a big money raffle, tickets are $2 each or 3 for $5.  Third prize is $1,000, second prize is $2,000 and first prize is $7,000. Mount Airy Volunteer Fire Company Carnival – (July 22-27) The Mount Airy Volunteer Fire Company (MAVFC) will host their annual carnival on the MAVFC Carnival Grounds July 22 – 27 from 6 – 10 p.m. nightly.  Thursday there will be a MAVFC Gala Parade beginning at 7 p.m.  There will be $5,000 in cash raffles, nightly entertainment and ride all night specials Monday-Wednesday. Carroll County 4-H & FFA Fair – (July 27 – Aug. 2)This year will celebrate the 117th year of the Carroll County Fair experience. The fair will include antique tractors, pig races, a combine demolition derby, Wild West night, car demolition derby, lawn mower racing, tractor pull, chain saw carving and more.  New to the fair this year will be the Sutter Post Clydesdales.  Click here for more information.

Hampstead Fire Company Carnival – (Aug. 12 – 17) One of the final carnivals of the summer will be held at the Hampstead Fire Company fairgrounds Aug. 12 – 17, beginning at 5 p.m. nightly.  Parking and admission are free, parking will be available at North Carroll High School and there will be free shuttle busses running continuously Monday-Friday at 6 p.m., Saturday busses start at 3 p.m.  Platters are served nightly Monday-Friday starting at 6 p.m. and Saturday starting at 3:30 p.m.  Every night is ride night, $20 for a ride all night wrist-band, rides will open at 7 p.m. There will be a Fireman’s Parade Saturday, Aug. 17 starting at 5 p.m.  Click here for more information.
