Time for a Swim: Pool Openings in and Around Westminster

Summer is on its way and that means it's time to find a pool where you can cool off and have some fun. Patch has done the homework for you by gathering information about some of the local public and private pools including entrance and/or membership fee information.

Westminster Municipal Pool  (Public)

325 Royer Rd, Westminster

• Open: Memorial Day – Labor Day, daily 12 noon – 7 p.m.
• Public Access Info: Yes. The pool is open for public access.  The daily gate entrance fee is $7.  There are also punch cards available allowing 10 visits for $50.
• Membership Info:  City Resident: Individual: $128 / Family: $200, Non-Resident: Individual: $146 / Family: $260

Lineboro-Manchester Lions Club (Public)

3327 Victory Street, Manchester

• Open: May 25 - June 12, weekends: 12 noon - 7 p.m., June 12 - Labor day: daily 12 noon – 7 p.m.
• Public Access Info:  Daily admission: Adult: $7 / Child 2-12: $5 /Children under 2: Free / No Swim: $2 / Day Care: $5

Cascade Lake (Public)

• Open: June 1 and 2, June 8 and 9, Tuesday – Sunday: June 15-Aug. 31, August 31 – Sept. 1, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. on weekdays, closed at 7 p.m. on weekends and holidays

Westminster Riding Club (Private/Membership Required)

366 North Colonial Ave., Westminster

The Westminster Riding Club (WRC) pool is available to WRC members only.  Members have access to the 25-meter pool, the “Seahorse Café”, picnics, swimming lessons, tennis and volleyball tournaments and more.

• Open: Memorial Day weekend – Labor Day, daily 12 – 9 p.m.
• Membership Info:  Applications are reviewed and considered monthly at the meeting of the Board of Governors. This meeting is held the third Monday of each month. Prospective members will receive a letter of initiation once the Board of Governors gives approval. The initiation fee is due within 30 days of the dated letter. Carroll Aquatics Swim Club (Private/Membership Required)

Four Seasons Sports Complex, 2710 Hampstead-Mexico Rd., Hampstead

• Open: Rec Pool: Memorial Day-Labor Day / Main/Lap Pool: Year Round

South Carroll Swim Club (Private/Membership Required)

1900 West Liberty Rd, Westminster

• Open: Memorial Day weekend – Labor Day weekend
• Membership Info: The South Carroll Swim Club has membership available for 600 families, memberships are still available.  Family membership: $535 dues, $850 bond (new members), $150 initiation fee.

Hill Family Center Y  (Private/Membership Required)

• Location: 1719 Sykesville Rd, Westminster
• Open: Year Round

Merritt Athletic Club (Private/Membership Required)

1388 Progress Way, Eldersburg

• Location: Open: Indoor Pool: Year Round / Outdoor Familiy-Fun and Kiddie pool: Saturday, May 25 – Labor Day
