Week Ahead in Weather: A Mixed-up Forecast

Rain, sun, hot, mild -- the forecast is all over the place this week.

Curly-headed people, take note – temperatures are all over the place this week, but expect it to be humid and maybe rainy all week long.

The National Weather Service is forecasting temperatures up to the mid-90s for the week ahead, and possible rain most days, starting today, with a 30 percent chance of rain and maybe thunderstorms. Temperatures should be mild, though, rising to just the mid-70s.

Temperatures should drop to the mid-60s at night, and there will still be a chance of rain.

Temperatures should rise about 10 degrees Tuesday, peaking in the mid-80s. There’s a lesser chance of rain throughout the day, but NWS is predicting cloudy skies all day and at night, when temperatures drop to about 70 degrees. 

The heat is expected to really pick up Wednesday and Thursday, with NWS forecasting highs in the mid-90s with clear, sunny skies. At night, temperatures should drop to the low 70s.

The threat of rain will return Friday when, according to NWS, there’s a 30 percent chance of rain and thunderstorms. Despite potential rain, temperatures should again reach the mid-90s, according to NWS; an unfortunate combination for the curly-headed among us.
