Walmart has recalled 174,000 My Sweet/My Sweet Baby Cuddle Care Baby Dolls because they can overheat and burn children, USA Today reported.

The doll coughs and its cheeks turn red. It has a circuit board in its chest that can overheat, USA Today reported. Wal-Mart got 12 reports regarding the doll including two in which the doll caused burns.

The company, in conjunction with the Consumer Product Safety Commission, is recalling all of the 174,000 My Sweet Love / My Sweet Baby electronic baby dolls that were sold for $20 in Walmart stores nationwide from August 2012 through March 2014, a press release from the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection states.

Consumers should remove these dolls immediately from the reach of children, remove the batteries and return the doll to any Walmart store for a full refund.

The doll is identified by UPC 6-04576-16800-5 and a date code which begins with WM. The date code is printed on the stuffed article label sewn into the bottom of the doll, the press release states.

Sure it was made in China. So are most toys. And yes, Walmart tries to get the most units at the cheapest price. That's the way businesses work. This that don't, don't survive.

Hey ward , the American consumer has the choice to get it back. The question is , will they want to? When the American consumer starts supporting companies that do manufacture here , more will. When a company is struggling to make it manufacturing here and then see's their competition striving while manufacturing oversee's they look and say " gee , dosnt really seem to matter where it is made, price seems to be what matters.
