Countdown to Fallfest: Boys and Girls Club Ready for the Fun to Begin

The Boys and Girls Club of Westminster is one of four Fallfest charities this year.

Tonight kicks off the 32nd annual Westminster Fallfest with a parade on Main Street. The students who attend the Boys and Girls Club in Westminster will be walking in the parade, and they can't wait to get the weekend festivities started.

Each year Fallfest donates proceeds to local charities. This year's charities are Access Carroll, Westminster Boys and Girls Club, Carroll County Youth Services Bureau and Carroll Hospice.

The Boys and Girls Club website reads, "In almost every community, boys and girls are left to find their own recreation and companionship during the critical after school hours. To help meet  the needs of these youth and their families, the Boys & Girls Club of Westminster provides after school programs and activities that offer a healthy alternative."

Fallfest activities will run on Saturday from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. and on Sunday from noon until 6 p.m.
