Amazing Baby & Child Expo

• Where:  Main Street Sykesville
• When:  Saturday, Aug. 17, 11 a.m.
• Description:  Activities, food, moon bounces, face painting, Port Discovery Children's Museum, live entertainment on stage and demos and more all day.  Families, educators, childcare providers and more will be available to answer questions.
• Cost: Free

Peach Festival

• Where:  208 Krider's Church Road, Westminster
• When:  Saturday, Aug. 17, 3 p.m.
• Description:  Food, Peaches, Entertainment and more.
• Cost: Free to attend – food for sale

River Downs Outdoor Movie Night

• Where:  1900 River Downs Drive, Finksburg
• When:  Saturday, Aug. 17, 7 p.m.
• Description:  Dinner and a family- friendly movie. 
• Cost: $10 per person.

Craft Demo Day at Photo Scraps

• Where:  1213 Liberty Road, Eldersburg
• When:  Saturday, Aug. 17, 11 a.m.
• Description:  Photo Scraps is hosting a demo day including a variety of cards and layouts for you to create. Pieces are cut and ready for you to lay them out and glue them. Tickets available onsite and a 10% discount will be given for the days purchases with the completion of 6 demos.
• Cost: $2 per project.

Hampstead Fire Company Carnival

• Where:  Hampstead Volunteer Fire Department, 1341 N. Main St., Hampstead
• When:  Aug. 12 – Aug. 17, 6 – 11 p.m.
• Description:  Games, food, rides and entertainment.
• Cost: Free

River Valley 5k/10k Run

• Where:  River Valley Ranch, 4443 Grave Run Rd., Manchester
• When:  Saturday, Aug. 17, 6:30 – 11 a.m.
• Description:  Maryland's premiere trail running event! Featuring a challenging 10k trail course, scenic 5k road course, and kid's fun run through the historic old west town.

Carroll County Farmers' Market "Heirloom Tomato Festival"

• Where:  Carroll County Ag. Center, 706 Agriculture Center Dr., Westminster
• When:  Saturday, Aug. 17, 8 a.m. – 1 p.m.
• Description:  Fresh local produce in season, baked goods, eggs, honey, gourmet foods, jams and jellies, handmade crafts and more. Breakfast and lunch served.
• Cost: Free

Carroll County Restaurant Week

• Where:  Various restaurants throughout Carroll County
• When:  Aug. 18 – Aug. 25
• Description:  Locals are invited to Sample some of Carroll's mouth-watering cuisine while getting a terrific deal. Diners simply go to their favorite participating Carroll County restaurant and order off a special menu. Fixed prices depending on the restaurant for lunch or dinner.
