Jingle Bell Run, Electric Parade, Santa and More: Christmas Arrives on Main Street Westminster

On Saturday, Nov. 30 Main Street in Westminster will come alive for the holiday season with annual traditions like the electric parade, tree lighting and a visit from Santa.

Start the fun off on the right foot with the Jingle Bell Run starting at 4:45. This one mile fun run/walk is the perfect family activity to get you geared up to watch the Electric Parade! The cost to participate in the run is $15. Online registration closes November 26. Please bring a non-perishable food item to benefit Carroll County Food Sunday. Call 410-751-5501 for details. Click here to enroll online by November 26.

At 5 p.m. the Miracle on Main Electric Holiday Parade will begin lighting up Main Street, followed by the lighting of the town tree at Locust Lane. Enjoy the seasonal sounds of the Westminster Municipal Band, sing carols, see the awarding of the Mayor's Cup and await the arrival of Santa. Come early to purchase a treat from the holiday bake sale and enjoy a free cup of hot chocolate.

The fun isn't over yet. Make your way to the Westminster library, 50 E. Main St., from 6 to 8:30 p.m. to visit Santa. Kids can enjoy games, crafts, music, fun...and, of course, Santa, at this free event.
