Phantom, Shrek and Gatsby: 3 Great Shows in Carroll County this Weekend

You don't want to miss these local high school productions.

Carroll County high school theater productions are second to none and these upcoming performances won't disappoint. Be sure to check out at least one show this weekend -- it's local, affordable, family-friendly entertainment. 

Phantom of the Opera at Westminster High School

Join the Westminster High School Theatre Program at the Paris Opera as they perform the play version of Phantom of the Opera. Adapted by Dirk Kuiper from the original novel by Gaston Leroux, the show follows the story of Christine, Raoul, and the Phantom as most of us know it – with a few interesting twists added. The cast of 30 will perform the show on Nov. 14, 15 & 16 at 7 p.m. Tickets are $7 and can be purchased at the door.

The Great Gatsby at Francis Scott Key High School

Francis Scott Key High School Drama is proud to present F. Scott Fitzgerald's classic, The Great Gatsby. Performances are Nov. 14 and 15 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 16, at 3 p.m. in the auditorium of Francis Scott Key High School. Tickets are $7 for adults, $5 for seniors and students with ID.

SHREK THE MUSICAL at Liberty High School

Liberty High School Drama will present SHREK THE MUSICAL at 7 p.m. on Nov. 14, 15, 16, 21, 22, and 23, and at 2 p.m. on Nov. 16. SHREK THE MUSICAL is based on the Oscar winning DreamWorks film that started it all, bringing the hilarious story of everyone's favorite ogre to dazzling new life on the stage. Tickets are $10 in advance, $12 at the door, and $15 for Backstage Passes/Advanced Seating.
