On 28 August 2011 a tree fell on my home. My insurance company gave me the name of Torrence Construction as a vendor to tarp the house to prevent water damage.
Torrence put a tarp on the house and when the rains came a couple of days later, water started pouring into my house through the missing roof, despite the tarp.
Torrence came out and put another tarp on the roof, but left all the ceiling debris in two rooms hanging. They did not demo out the damage.
There was more rain and increased water damage. The damage escalated from only my dining room ceiling and basement hallway ceiling, and now included an upstairs bedroom, the living room and increased water damage in the basement.
The insurance company sent another company out who properly sealed the roof with plywood, removed the ceiling and roof debris, and so far the water has stayed out of the house.
In addition, the owner of the company came out to talk with me and right out of the gate he started dissing my insurance adjuster ("he's arrogant") and assuring me that Torrence was looking out for my best interests.
I found the whole experience with them repugnant and would never recommend this company to someone I like.
