As a devout follower of the Lord Jesus Christ, I am offended by the hate coming from those who claimRead More to be follower of the Lord Jesus Christ toward our fellow human beings who happen to be a non-believer. The Lord Jesus Christ said, let those without sin cast the first stone. I doubt any of you who judge atheists harshly are without sin. As a natural-born American, I am offended by a number of our fellow Americans willing strip away the right of certain Americans because of their lack o religious beliefs. Religious freedom do not belong to the Christians alone, but to all in America. I not only pray that woman not only win her lawsuit against the State of New Jersey, I also pray that she also be reimbursed for her legal fees and all other fees she paid out to make the case, and perhaps receive treble damage.
Tom Menino April 20, 2014 at 08:23 am
In most jurisdictions you are denied any plate y nges at coukd cause others to become agitated. IRead More suspect she would also be denied a "GOD-IS-REAL" plate on similar grounds. But atheists need to evangelize incessantly to all within earshot so I expect this case will continue, aided by the Godless ACLU and its allies.

Absoutely!... Mahler's Resurrection Symphony (No 2): a deep. spiritual journeythat ends in trueRead More heaven... and composed by a Jew (this is my take as one, sorry)
jMichael April 20, 2014 at 08:59 am
Good one, Leslie. No one should let this day pass without sounding this symphony throughout hisRead More home. It is my understanding, however, that "The Resurrection" compassed by Mahler is not that of Jesus of Nazareth, but rather of us... The vision of our resurrection to the afterlife. It is not an affirmation of Christianity but of a sacred Humanity. If I am wrong about this please correct me. Regards, jMichael

Why is it the wealthy think they are special and deserve to pay a lower tax rate by hiringRead More lobbyists to write tax code words that hide (shelter is the perverted definition) income from taxation? To dodge taxes. So unchristian.

I heard it all associating with the terrorist group was like a video game . This young man should beRead More sentenced for the same amount of time as the rest . Know he can get out of prison with a bad taste in his mouth and blow up some Americans . After 911 there should be no deals made with terrorists .

Please liberate us from our oppressive State government, cyber warriors!!!
Don O'Neill April 18, 2014 at 05:24 pm
It sounds as though Senator Catherine Pugh is pining for a job in the private sector. Here is whatRead More she said: 1. “Our government doesn’t move as quickly as the private sector ... and the private sector isn’t moving as quickly as it should be,” Sen. Catherine Pugh, D-Baltimore, said in an interview. 2. “I look at the government from the perspective of a business,” Pugh said. “... What do want the state to look like three years from now? I don’t think we do enough of that kind of thinking and planning.” Let me identify some of the issues that Senator Catherine Pugh and her colleagues in Annapolis should be thinking about on behalf of the citizens of Maryland. 1. Stop pretending that Maryland is the leader in state Health Care web sites. 2. Stop pretending that Maryland is the center of excellence for Cyber Security. 3. Stop pretending that the Chesapeake Bay is clean. 4. Stop pretending that Maryland's soft position on marijuana is supported by its citizens. 5. Stop contemplating the use of fracking. 6. Stop wasting time and money on Bond Bill earmarks. 7. Stop sweeping the Baltimore City prison scandal under the rug. 8. Stop pretending that Maryland is winning the jobs race with Virginia. 9. Stop pretending that Maryland has an adult candidate for Governor. 10. Stop pretending that Governor O'Malley is viable candidate for President.

I'm leaning towards steroid and drug use for this kid. Shit maybe even bath salts. Doesn't that makeRead More you eat people? At the end of the day this is not a surprising story. Apple never falls far.

The death penalty certainly cuts down on the record number of incarcerations in America. Enough ofRead More this liberal crap on humane punishment. The word "humane' never enters the minds of these cold blooded killers. What is going to happen if another bombing takes place outside of Texas? What is going to happen with the next airplane hijacking, or Boston?

Don, the comments were made at sentencing, not at trialso it hss no bearing on her conviction.

CeeCee April 19, 2014 at 08:04 am
Life--Stop guessing because you don't do it well. In my experience, if a business is paying half ofRead More its income in taxes, it is doing something wrong: did not plan properly; is mis-managed; did not hire the right employees or the necessary professionals; is not reaching the appropriate market(s); and/or, is not providing a valued and/or quality product or service. If a business is experiencing any of this, the state of Maryland is very generous with the tax dollars it collects and offers educational or consulting services to assist small business owners for little or no cost. Not to mention in elaborate detail, taxes afford businesses: education & ACA/healthcare--single payer would be better--for our fellow citizens and highways & public transportation. But if you prefer doing it all by yourself then it will not only change you, you could end up paying with your life.
Gary Elwards April 19, 2014 at 09:50 am
CeeCee, it is not so hard to assume that you have never run a business. If you did you would knowRead More that businesses do not pay only Federal and State income taxes. They also pay real estate taxes (yes, even if they lease), personal property taxes (for which they are required to pay a fee (tax) just to file), unemployment taxes, social security and Medicare taxes to match what each employee pays, licensing fees (tax), the new "rain tax", and on and on.
Life April 19, 2014 at 10:51 pm
Cee Cee, it's obvious you've never been in the trenches of owning a business. What I find soRead More comical is that you're giving me business advice! LOL!!!

It sure helps that I'm a little old lady because I just bring my cup from home from the last time IRead More was at a store. The last time I paid for a drink at costco was probably before the terrorists attacked us on 9-11. What's the big deal here, it's only soda? If this guy wants free drinks, it's none of your business, and non of the business of that nosey cop neither. You people don't get it, it's flat out entrapment by having the soda available. What's next, you expect me not to use my dead sister's handicap placard too?
