Police: Suicidal Motorist from Westminster Kills Reisterstown Woman, Hospitalizes Self in Crash

A 20-year-old Westminster man was hospitalized a crash in Reisterstown Tuesday night that killed a 74-year-old woman.

A Reisterstown woman was killed Tuesday night after a motorist threatening to kill himself crashed into her car on Reisterstown Road in front of Franklin High School. Martha Tabares, 74, of the 900 block of Shirley Manor Road in Reisterstown, was pronounced dead at the scene. The motorist threatening suicide, 20-year-old Nicholas Frederick Mottley, of the 600 block of Wilmont Road in Westminster, was transported to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries. His condition was unknown Wednesday morning, according to a police press release. At 8:13 p.m. Tuesday, Baltimore County Police responded to I-795 southbound between Owings Mills Boulevard and I-695. 3-Vehicle Crash in Finksburg Leaves One Dead

Traffic was closed in both directions on Rt. 140 at the Baltimore/Carroll County line while police investigated the accident.

An Owings Mills woman was killed in a three-car crash on Rt. 140 at the Baltimore/Carroll County line Tuesday evening, police said. Ruchita Pandya, 32, of Owings Mills, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a Baltimore Sun article. According to the Sun, the driver of a 2001 Toyota Tundra, William Mark Lehr, of Westminster, crossed the center line on Route 140 in Finksburg and crashed into Pandya's 2007 Toyota Corolla, which was going in the opposite direction. The Corolla was pushed into a 2008 Mercedes SGL320, overturning the Corolla onto the shoulder of the road. Lehr was flown to Shock Trauma for treatment of injuries that were not expected to be life-threatening and the driver of the SGL320 suffered minor injuries but refused …

(Update) Weekend Car Crash Leaves One Dead

Three individuals were flown to Shock Trauma after the accident on Rt. 97.

A two-vehicle collision Saturday afternoon sent two people to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center and one to Carroll Hospital Center. Terry Gail Clark, 58, of Pikesville was pronounced dead at Carroll Hospital Center. According to the Westminster Fire Department website, an engine and ambulance were dispatched to a crash at Rt. 97 and Hook Road for a head on collision involving a Mustang and a Cavalier. Two rescue helicopters were called in while fire crews worked to remove the driver of the Mustang as well as the driver and a passenger from the Cavalier. Clark was in the Cavalier driven by Ethel Neta Maddox, 51, of Pikesville according to the Baltimore Sun. They were traveling south on Route 97 when a northbound Ford Mustang …

Woman Killed in Single Vehicle Crash in Sykesville

Police said a 49-year-old Sykesville woman crashed into a utility pole.

On Sunday, June 3, at about 4:22 a.m., Troopers from the Maryland State Police Westminster Barrack responded to the scene of a single vehicle car crash at route 97 at Hoods Mill Rd in Sykesville.  According to the state police, In Suk Yoo, 49, of Sykesville was driving a 2011 Toyota Camry north on Maryland Route 97. She traveled over the double yellow line into the southbound lane, then onto the grass shoulder, where the vehicle struck a Baltimore Gas and Electric Utility Pole, police report.  Police said Yoo then attempted to back away from the utility pole but was unsuccessful.  She attempted to exit the vehicle at which time she succumbed to injuries sustained as in the crash.
