Trial Postponed for Man Accused of Killing, Burying Wife
A new court date for Robert Jarrett Jr. will be set this week.
The trial has been postponed for a man accused of murdering his wife and burying her under a shed in his backyard. Jury selection was scheduled to begin Wednesday for Robert Jarrett Jr., who faces a first-degree murder charge in the death of his wife, Christine Jarrett. In a motion hearing in Circuit Court on Monday, a judge ruled that the remains found entombed in concrete and buried under a shed at the Elkridge home the couple shared could be used as evidence. Jarrett reported his wife missing in 1991. According to police, Jarret reported that he and his wife were arguing and that she left and didn't return.
