UPDATE: Man Fatally Stabbed in Westminster
Police say the man was pronounced dead at his home early Saturday morning.
UPDATE (8:55 p.m. Saturday)—Maryland State Police said a 61-year-old man died after he was assaulted and stabbed at his home around 4 a.m. on Saturday. According to a police press release, Edward C. Zepp of the 100 block of West Main Street in Westminster was pronounced dead at the scene. Police charged David M. Montgomery, 28, of no fixed address, with first- and second-degree murder. Montgomery was reportedly found in the 4000 block of Ritchie Highway in Anne Arundel County around noon on Saturday. Investigators discovered that Montgomery and Zepp knew each other, but the motive for the assault is unclear at this time. According to the release, Montgomery was Zepp's roommate for about a year from 2011 to 2012. Preliminary information …
