Carroll County Under Winter Weather Advisory

Beware of freezing rain and slick roads, experts advise.

The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a winter weather advisory for Carroll County until 11 a.m. The alert warns of the possibility of freezing rain on surfaces including roads. A winter weather advisory means that periods of freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. The NWS alert urges drivers to be prepared for slippery roads and limited visibilities. The alert includes Carroll, Frederick and Northern Baltimore Counties. The alert, originally set to expire at 9 a.m., is now set to expire at 11 a.m.
