Deer Park Road Car Accident Kills 17-Year-Old
Police report that one teen died and two young men were transported to Shock Trauma.
Just before 10 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13, police report that a car lost control on Deer Park Road in Westminster, killing a 17-year-old passenger. According to a report from the Sheriff's Office, driver Nicolas Ryan Gaetani, 18, lost control of the Grand Marquis he was driving at Deer Park Road at Jeffras Court. Police said they believe he failed to negotiate a curve and crossed over the double yellow lane divider at which time his car was struck on the passenger side by a Dodge Neon. Seventeen-year-old Michael McVerry, a passenger in Gaetani's car, was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS personnel, according to police.
