Bands this year will include Phoenix, Passion Pit, Kendrick Lamar, Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Gary Clark Jr.
The Sweetlife Festival is coming up at Merriweather Post Pavilion on May 11. Broken up into two stages, the bands are mostly indie or alternative rockers, but the lineup also includes rapper Kendrick Lamar and electronic violinist Lindsey Stirling. Main Stage: Phoenix, Passion Pit, Kendrick Lamar, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Gary Clark Jr., Solange, Lindsey Stirling Treehouse Stage: Holy Ghost!, Youth Lagoon, Haerts, Robert Delong, MsMr, Twenty|One|Pilots Ticket prices are $75 for lawn seats, pavilion tickets are $95 and VIP tickets go for $150. Tickets are available on Ticketfly. Last year, the festival featured Avicii, Kid Cudi and the Shins. Westminster is going to be a very busy place this weekend. Patch has picked five events happening around town that might be worth a look. 17th Annual Lax Max Lacrosse Tournament More than 165 teams from across the Mid-Atlantic States will compete in the 17th Annual Lax Max Lacrosse Tournament, which is being held for the first time in Westminster. Beginning at 8 a.m. on Saturday, games will be held at the following five locations in and around Westminster: East Middle School, West Middle School/Dutterer Park, Winters Mill High School/Cranberry Station Elementary School, Carroll Community College, and Friendship Valley Elementary School/Kate Wagner Road Fields.
