The man is in serious condition following the incident Monday afternoon.
A Lehigh Cement employee is in serious condition Monday evening following a workplace incident in Carroll County, according to a press release from the Carroll County Sheriff's Office. Shortly after 2 p.m. Monday, Carroll County Sheriff's Deputies responded to reports of an injured man at Lehigh Portland Cement Company at 675 Quaker Hill Road in Union Bridge, MD. Steve Fleming, 46, was repairing monitoring equipment underneath a conveyer belt located in the yard area when a skid loader reportedly backed over him, according to a Carroll County Sheriff's Office press release. Suspect remains at-large.
The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office released a drawing of a suspect who robbed the 7-11 convenience store located in the 100 block of Main Street in Union Bridge at approximately 2:20 a.m. Tuesday, May 14, according to a news release. The sheriff's office said the suspect is a white male in his mid- to late 20s, approximately 5’10.” The suspect, who was wearing a black hoodie, white mask and black gloves entered the store displaying a handgun and demanded money from the cashier. No one was injured during the robbery and the suspect fled the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash; he remains at large, according to the news release.
