Wintry Mix Thursday Night Could Create Icy Conditions in Carroll County

The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for Carroll and surrounding counties.

The National Weather Service issued a hazardous weather outlook Thursday for Carroll County and much of central and western Maryland warning residents to expect a wintry mix with possible freezing rain Thursday night into Friday morning. NWS is predicting less than a half an inch of sleet and snow accumulation possible overnight as well as a morning fog. There is a slight chance of rain, snow, and sleet between 8 p.m. and 1 a.m., then rain, snow, and freezing rain likely, becoming all rain after 8 a.m., according to NWS. However, the winter weather in this area pales in comparison to what is being predicted for the Northeast.
