Ms O'Hare, you seem to not understand that all these white officials you are lamenting were actually elected by the voting citizens of the County, not appointed. While there may be a "good old boy" network, the voters have the final say.
As far as stereotyping goes; it's pretty easy to look at the correlation between demographics and crime, poverty, unemployment etc. Stereotypes are almost always based on facts.
Perhaps you would like Baltimore Co. to be more like Prince Georges Co. or maybe Baltimore City. These are fine places to live, aren't they.

From what I have seen, many of these "great college towns" have been over run with cheap, trashy student housing, hundreds of overflowing bars, and small riots where property is routinely destroyed. What a great future for Towson!

"TU will now have fewer men's sports than any school in the conference." Yea, so what? These sports benefit very few at TU and few even attended the games. They have never brought any money into the school. Besides, I kinda thought the main purpose of a university was learning.

Go Baltimore County! Once again, unrestricted growth at any cost. It doesn't matter whether the roads and infrastructure can reasonably support it, the people don't want it or quality of life drops another notch. As long as the right palms get greased and more taxes can get collected, anything goes!
