Hampstead/Manchester Area Schools to Dismiss Early Friday for Slain Officer's Funeral
The Maryland State Police requested that schools be dismissed early to avoid heavy traffic on the funeral route.
The following schools in the Manchester/Hampstead area will be dismissed three hours early on Friday, Aug. 30:
- Ebb Valley Elementary
- Hampstead Elementary
- Manchester Elementary
- Manchester Valley High
- North Carroll High
- North Carroll Middle
- Shiloh Middle
- Spring Garden Elementary.
Evening events and community use of the schools will go on as scheduled.
Carroll County Public Schools is cooperating with the Maryland State Police who have requested that we dismiss schools in that area early to avoid adding to the significant traffic congestion expected along Route 30 for the viewing of fallen Officer Jason Schneider.
